The Jaynes family’s world was turned upside down when Erin experienced a seizure caused by a growing brain tumor in July of 2026. Scans showed a large tumor affecting her optic nerve, pituitary gland, nasal cavity and blood vessels in the brain.

Since then Erin has been traveling to Portland, OR to consult with surgeons. Her first surgery to remove the tumor and her right eye is scheduled for 10/5/26. She will have a post-op hospital stay and will be off work for several weeks to recover. Her treatment will not end with this surgery as she will need follow up care, additional surgeries, and prosthetic eye fittings.

We are starting this fundraiser to help ease the financial strain Erin and Cody are facing during these difficult times. Between medical expenses, travel to Portland, time away from work, and the many unexpected costs that come with this journey, their financial burden continues to grow.
